11/30/2023: Is Jack Censoring Ordinals? ⛏️🎛️🐜

  • 🐜 AntPool agrees to refund record $3M Bitcoin transaction

⌐◪-◪ → The Jack Dorsey plot thickens. His recent $6.2M investment in OCEAN was supposed to help decentralized Bitcoin mining, but it looks like its doing the opposite. Ordinal collectors are accusing OCEAN of censoring Ordinals transactions and the debate on X is getting heated. While some believe Ordinals are a waste of blockspace, others say the fees they generate for miners outsize the block subsidy.

⌐◪-◪ → The infamous KyberSwap hacker has awakened! Just last week, the hacker sent a cryptographic message to KyberSwap, after stealing $48M, stating that negotiations would begin once they’re fully rested. Fast forward, today the hacker demanded full control of Kyber to make some “legislative changes”. The hacker also made a mysterious reference to a “small error” the team made, a rounding error that “could have been made by anyone”.

⌐◪-◪ → Remember that guy who accidentally paid $3M for a Bitcoin transaction last week? Well AntPool, the worlds largest Bitcoin miner, decided to give the $3M back. This is not the fist time something like this has happened. At the end of the day, miners are just regular businesses, meaning they can do stuff like this—or perhaps—censor transactions like F2Pool and OCEAN are doing. Make decentralization a core value.
