Specs’ Insights
⌐◪-◪ → There are currently 15,572 validators in the exit queue, the highest since the Shappela upgrade in April 2023. For context, that’s over 500,000 ETH ($1.1B) with a maximum stake of 32 ETH per validator.
Historical figures suggest an exit rate of 2,000-3,000 validators per day, meaning it could take a week to clear the queue.
Celsius confirmed on X that they're unstaking to ensure timely distribution for their creditors.

✅Ethereum's developers have confirmed the testnet deployment dates for its fast-approaching Dencun upgrade, beginning with Goerli on Jan. 17. Dencun will improve data availability and reduce costs on Layer 2 by replacing calldata with blobs 👀

⌐◪-◪ → The nerds have spoken, locking in testnet deployments for the Dencun upgrade, starting with Goerli deployment on Jan. 17th, Sepolia on Jan. 30th, and Holesky on Feb 7th.
This decision was reached at the first All Core Devs Execution (ACDE) call for 2024. Give the entire meeting a listen here, where they also discussed priorities for the following upgrade, Pectra.
Dencun will help reduce transaction fees for layer-2 rollups by replacing calldata with less gas-intensive blobs, made possible via EIP-4844’s proto-danksharding.

⌐◪-◪ → Logan Paul just personally committed $2.3M to buy back his own CryptoZoo NFTs, making those he scammed whole.
While I’d like to give him credit for doing the “right” thing, let’s not pretend like he doesn’t have an ulterior motive - the man is getting crushed in a class action lawsuit right now that might cost him $20M.
To qualify for the buyback you not only have to KYC, but you have to agree to Logan’s terms - which waive any future claims against him.
As usual - he’s trying to protect his own skin. If it were me, I’d abstain from the buyback and cross my fingers for a bigger payout from the class action lawsuit. Max pain for Logan.
