⌐◪-◪ → Quantum computing will change everything.

Google just unveiled its new quantum chip, Willow, featuring 105 qubits with drastically improved error rates. While this is a major leap for quantum experiments, it’s far from what’s required to threaten Bitcoin's encryption.

Bitcoin relies on two critical encryptions:

• ECDSA 256: theoretically vulnerable to “Shor’s algorithm” but would need over 1,000,000 qubits to crack.

• SHA-256: theoretically vulnerable to “Grover’s algorithm” but requires millions of physical qubits to pose a threat.

At 105 qubits, Willow remains a long way off from jeopardizing Bitcoin. However, this is a gap worth watching closely, as Moore’s Law suggests rapid progress is inevitable.

Researchers predict that quantum computers may present a real threat to Bitcoin in 10-20 years, but by then, Bitcoiners are likely to develop quantum-resistant cryptography. As with most technological advances, this is shaping up to be a giant cat-and-mouse game.

⌐◪-◪ → Hide your Bitcoin—Russia is coming.

Russian State Duma Deputy Anton Tkachev has proposed creating a strategic Bitcoin reserve. This follows similar moves by the U.S., where Donald Trump and Sen. Cynthia Lummis announced plans for a strategic Bitcoin reserve earlier this year.

We’re beginning to see global game theory in action as nations vie for Bitcoin’s finite supply.

At Bitcoin MENA in Abu Dhabi, the bullish energy was palpable:

• Eric Trump predicted Bitcoin will hit $1 million.

• CZ declared, “We shouldn’t be calling it Bitcoin—it’s just money.”

• CZ praised the U.S. reserve plan as “fantastic,” calling it a smart move that will likely force other nations to follow suit.

• CZ even suggested it’s “inevitable” that Hong Kong will adopt a similar strategy, with China treating the region as a sandbox for digital assets.

As I’ve said many times, the Bitcoin standard is coming. First corporations, then banks, then states, and finally nations. The risk of ignoring Bitcoin now far outweighs the risks of adopting it.

⌐◪-◪ → Magic Eden is popping off!

Binance has listed Magic Eden’s $ME token, which jumped 46% in pre-market trading. The CEO of Magic Eden described their vision as “an on-chain Binance,” aiming to create a decentralized, one-stop trading platform.

Magic Eden has made its share of missteps, but they continue to follow crypto's golden rule: reward the community. The platform has gifted 5-6 figures to tens of thousands of users through airdrops.

Looking at the NFT marketplace landscape, the big question is whether OpenSea can reclaim its position with its upcoming V2 update—or if its neglect of users will cause it to fade into irrelevance.
