dYdX Chain trading goes live, enters beta stage following governance vote

dYdX Chain's beta mainnet stage has gone live, enabling active trading across more than 33 perpetual markets.

⌐◪-◪ → Standalone cosmos-based L1, dYdX, has entered beta mainnet stage following a decisive governance vote. Users can trade over 33 perpetual markets via dydx.trade with up to 20x leverage. 100% of fees will be paid to validators and stakers.

Crypto industry protests against Treasury's proposed tax reporting regulation

The crypto industry is staunchly fighting back against proposed rules that would expand who would have to report certain crypto transactions.

⌐◪-◪ → The Treasury and IRS released a set of proposed regulations in August, and the crypto industry is fighting back hard. The proposal’s only means of compliance for many DeFi protocols is to simply abandon the decentralized technology that makes them unique. There are also several constitutional concerns surrounding privacy due to very vague & broad definitions.

Fake filing for BlackRock XRP Trust caused brief price spike

BlackRock denied it had registered a new iShares trust for XRP but the market had already pumped on the news of the fake filing.

⌐◪-◪ → The fake news + ETF drama never ends. Yesterday, Ripple (XRP) saw a major boost due to a fake filing that was designed to look like BlackRock was launching an XRP ETF. BlackRock has denied the authenticity of the filing, which caused prices to return to previous levels after a brief 12% hike. Meanwhile, BlackRock is actually working on an Ethereum spot ETF.
